Costantino 313 d.C.
Project introduction

Costantino 313 d.C. is a major historical and archaeological exhibition dedicated to Emperor Constantine and the Edict of Milan, presented at Palazzo Reale in Milan and at the Colosseum in Rome in 2013. Conceived by the Museo Diocesano di Milano, produced with publisher Electa, and curated by Gemma Sena Chiesa and Paolo Biscottini, the exhibition attracted large audiences at both venues.
The Roman edition, enriched by a section on the Eternal City curated by Mariarosaria Barbera, Superintendent for the Archaeological Heritage of Rome, presents some of the most recent discoveries linked to Constantine: new rooms of the Sessorian Palace near Santa Croce in Gerusalemme and the domus of senior officials at the court of Empress Helena. The exhibition was realised with the support of Fondazione Bracco, in collaboration with Fondazione Aquileia and the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage.
